The Senior Program Manager Is Ultimately Responsible For The Success Or Failure Of Automation Programs; The Ideal Candidate Quickly Absorbs New Technologies, Communicates Clearly With Engineers, And Thinks Creatively To Find Solutions When Problems And Delays Inevitably Arise.
A Successful Senior Project Manager Will Expand Their Working Knowledge In A Wide Range Of Industrial Automation Work Areas Such As Machine Vision Software, Neural Network Based Image Classification, Computer Networks, Optics, Camera Fixture Maintenance, Manufacturing Systems Implementation, Etc. If Necessary Based On The Challenges Presented In The Factory. What Should You Do?
- Lead A Team Of 7 Engineering Technicians And Deploy Defect Detection Systems In Production Assembly.
- Custom Projects And Deployment Of Computer Vision Automation Systems From "Concept To Completion" In Dynamic Industrial Environments.
- Collaborate With Operations And Software Teams Based In The US And Other Global Locations.
- Effective Collaboration With Stakeholders Such As Production Management, Quality Engineering, Process Engineering And Manufacturing Teams.
- Decide Whether The New Technology The Engineering Team Is Building Is Cost-Effective And Should Continue.
- Visit The Production Floor Regularly To Understand Requirements And Make Changes To The Program Strategy.
- Assist Software Product Managers And Software Engineers In Defining Software Requirements.
Perform "User Acceptance Testing" For New Software Features
- Manage The Activities Of A Team Of Technicians For The Installation, Maintenance And Optimization Of The Camera And Peripheral System.
- Use A First-Principles Approach To Engineering Decisions In The Face Of Tight Timelines, Engineering Challenges, And Limited Resources.
- Prioritize Personal And Team Work Based On Company-Wide Goals.
- Clearly Communicate Success, Delays And Setbacks.
- Report Progress On Programs, Highlighting Status, Risks, Mitigations, Opportunities And Costs In Ways That Are Accessible To Management Levels.
