Perform preventive maintenance (PMI); Fix, repair and upgrade key components of vehicles and equipment. Ensures accurate diagnosis and efficient repair and/or replacement of parts.II.
Main duties and responsibilities
- To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to satisfactorily perform all essential functions.
- Other minor duties may be assigned. Maintains a clean and safe work area in accordance with company/OSHA standards and performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures.
- Performs preventive maintenance checks and ensures timely and efficient elimination of problems found during inspections.
- Performs expert inspections, diagnostics and moderately complex repairs on assigned vehicles and equipment.
- Provides assistance, direction and guidance to other maintenance staff. Uses vehicle computer electronic systems to interpret failure conditions to initiate or notify repair.
- Estimate the time and material cost of repairs and purchasing new parts. Notifies supervisor immediately if additional work is required or if repairs cannot be completed within normal repair time (SRT).
- Monitors the quality of external/supplier repairs and/or conversions. Assess structural damage and determine necessary repairs using the most appropriate method.
- In an emergency, call the service. Performs vehicle safety inspection. Performs maintenance if necessary. In the absence of supervision, maintenance supervision assignments may be offered. III.

Must be at least 18 years old. Valid driver's license and valid driver's license. Legally eligible to work in the United States. Ability to meet the physical demands of the job with or without reasonable accommodations. Successfully complete a pre-employment drug screen and physical.
