This Job Is A Member Of The Engineering Team Within The Integrated Operations Division. Responsible For Acting As Technical Resource Specialist In Areas Of Expertise For All Engineering Teams. This Job Acts As A Business Or Industry Professional In A Technical Field. What Are You Doing? Assists The Engineering Manager In Teaching, Supporting, Training, Coaching And Evaluating The Activities Of Engineers
- Uses A High Level Of Technical Expertise And Extensive Practical Experience To Solve Highly Complex Technical Problems
- Develops Own Procedures And Special Criteria For Repairs, Modifications, Inspections, Servicing And Other Maintenance Operations Not Adequately Covered By Existing Manuals.
Investigates Aircraft/Component Problems That May Cause Aircraft Delays Or Cancellations, Significant Labor Or Material Costs, Or Disruption Of Maintenance Operations, And Determines Appropriate Corrective Actions. Develops Action Plans For Fleet/Multi-Fleet Projects And/Or Sub-Projects And Proceeds To Final Alignment Based On Estimated Priorities.
Maintains Knowledge Of Current And Ongoing Regulations Affecting Areas Of Responsibility And Ensures All Engineering Activities Continue To Meet Regulatory Requirements. Uses Available Resources To Continuously Increase The Level Of Technical Skills And Practical Experience. The Effort Is To Improve Communication Skills, Time Management And Other Personal Qualities Related To Maximum Effectiveness And Efficiency In The Performance Of Assigned Tasks. Develops Procedures And Special Criteria For Repairs, Modifications, Inspections, Servicing And Other Maintenance Operations

Minimum Qualifications - Education And Previous Experience
- Bachelor's Degree In Mechanical Engineering
- 10 Years Of Experience In The Aviation Environment
Preferred Qualifications - Education And Previous Work Experience
- Master's Degree In Mechanical Engineering
- 15 Years Of Experience In An Airline Environment
- Expert Knowledge Of Specific Aircraft Systems And Assemblies
- Permission To Nominate An Organization
- Yellow Belt Or Higher Certification From An Accredited Lean Six Sigma Institution
