The primary purpose of this position is to maintain, repair, align/calibrate and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical and electronic equipment and instruments and assist local and regional staff in developing safety procedures and policies for specific systems and facilities.

Main duties and responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot, repair, maintain and calibrate equipment such as:
- pumps and motors, main and pipeline control valves, turbines and displacement meters, gauges, tank gauges, pressure and temperature gauges, and SCADA equipment and equipment that interfaces with SCADA.
- Maintenance and repair of electrical equipment, including but not limited to:
Valve actuators, medium voltage switchgear and substation equipment, motor circuit fuses, motor control centers, truck loading equipment and control systems, remote station control systems, pressure sensors, tank level measurement systems, tank advanced alarm systems, electronic and PLC-based controllers, digital display devices, lighting circuits, security systems and devices, including pressurization and extinguishing equipment, teletype, SCADA transmission equipment and automated fire control systems.
Maintains records of assigned equipment and devices in accordance with Department of Transportation requirements. Maintains maintenance and repair records for equipment located in the area. Must maintain accurate and timely CMV logs and documentation. Assist in training other technicians in all maintenance related matters. Always maintain and demonstrate a high degree of respect for personal safety, the safety of company property and employees, and the public.
Other responsibilities:
- Supports all regional projects and collaborates with staff from other positions as needed. Assists with company projects, including pre-operational testing, go-live and deployment, as needed.
- Works with new and repaired or upgraded equipment vendors and their technicians.
- May be asked to inspect and document contract work on company property.
- Supports corporate and contract inspectors on regional and regional projects.
- Performs preventive and preventative maintenance on various terminal devices and remote control devices as requested.
- Learn about computer maintenance management system and features.
- Maintains lubrication schedule on various end and main equipment.
- Acts as a "floating technician" to assist in various locations as needed.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
