As a Senior Data Analyst at Store Analytics, you will be part of an agile inventory accuracy team that supports store and business operations in building data-driven solutions that improve inventory accuracy within our stores . This function falls under the scope of shared services and has significant influence in the organization. You will be part of a team of analysts who support the Stores through the active exploration of data, technologies and the application of mathematical techniques resulting in useful business insights including the development of metrics, reports and statistics. A very important role you will play is to share this knowledge through training/communication opportunities with end users to gather feedback, apply the knowledge gained and test collaboratively with business users. Along the way, you'll apply best practices for data challenge, analysis and visualization by sharing well-documented solutions with others (clients, colleagues, etc.) honing your skills on new and emerging technologies with a continuous improvement mindset. Also, active participation in team meetings and contribution to agile ceremonies.
Main duties and responsibilities:
- Active data exploration for specific use cases
- Develop and maintain data connections, tables and reports at scale.
- Documentation of calculations, code and compliance with data management principles.

Job relationship(s):
Work directly with product managers, process owners, other analysts and engineers to discover, explore, develop and deliver complex datasets and information. Collaborate with product managers and users to deliver completed work. Active participant in data and analytics functions and training
Job Requirements:
- BA/BS Quantitative Level: Mathematics, Statistics, Econometrics, Computer Science or equivalent work experience
- Over 3 years of relevant experience in the development, design and reporting of scalable datasets
- Extensive experience in SQL programming
- Exposure to database architecture, data mining, data modeling
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
- Stay current with new and evolving technologies through formal training and self-directed instruction
Privileged:
Specific experience with Hadoop stack (Map Reduce, Kafka, Pig, Hive, HBase, Cassandra, YARN) and/or BDAS (Scala/Spark)
Design of large-scale datasets spanning multiple business areas and/or data domains
This position may be considered for a remote or hybrid work arrangement based on Target's needs. A hybrid working arrangement means that the core role of team members will be a mix of virtual and onsite at a Target location. A remote work arrangement means that the team member works full-time from home or an alternate location that is not a duty location, does not have a head office desk at headquarters, and is able to commute to headquarters up to 4 times a year. Job duties may not be performed outside the country of primary employment, unless otherwise directed by Target. The salary range is: USD $83,800.00 - USD $150,800.00.
