Requirements for the position
- Coordinate with an assigned customer base that includes maintenance of all customer paperwork, installed systems and equipment.
- Communicate closely with the customer's designated carriers, surveyors, etc. regarding orders and product movement.
- Prepare orders for inbound and outbound trucks and barges daily, up to eight hours a day. Includes all relevant documents, extensive communication with truck drivers, customers and co-workers, and entering transactions into the Galahad database.
- The security requirements and procedures specified in the final security plan are strictly followed. Accurate update/maintenance of the Galahad system. A wide range of storage systems knowledge and skills is required, including a deep understanding of the Galahad system.
- This requires detailed knowledge of inventory procedures, ie. e.g. enter and confirm inbound/outbound movements, identify anomalies (profit and loss), generate reports, enter metrics and activate new contracts.
- Analyze the accuracy and responsiveness of production operations. o Work with Operations, Associates, Planning, Measurements, Inspectors and Customers to coordinate storage volumes.
- Uses inventory system information to respond to report requests and inquiries. Closes the month end so you have timely billing and customer information at the end of the month.
- Respond to product performance requests from various departments and customers.
- Prepare monthly and annual regulatory reports as required.
- Provide the necessary billing information to Ledger. Monitor terminal costs and revenues and assist with weekly forecasting
Assist terminal administrator as needed.
- Must consistently demonstrate a polite, professional attitude when dealing with customer inquiries and interacting with colleagues.
- Must be receptive to instructions and suggestions from colleagues and evaluate accordingly.
- Handle non-routine customer requests, issues and inquiries that may require extensive research, complex reasoning and decision-making.
- You must have strong analytical skills. You must have very good computer skills and above average skills in Excel, Word and Microsoft Outlook.
- Working knowledge of Access is desirable. Balanced communication skills and strong verbal and written communication skills are required.
- Requires tact and diplomacy when dealing with external parties, which must also be balanced with determination in protecting company personnel, property or equipment.
- oShould be able to take instructions from supervisors, adhere to required work schedules, focus on details, follow procedures and follow work rules.
- Must be a self-starter and able to work with minimal supervision and/or direction.
- Organizational skills and the ability to sequence tasks are important.
- Must be a problem solver with the ability to find solutions
