How Will You Act In This Role?
This Position Will Report To The Cloud Engineering Team. In This Cloud Engineer Role, You Will Be Part Of A Talented Team Responsible For Building Scalable, Secure And Highly Available Cloud Services Within Our Hybrid Platform-As-A-Service (Paas), While Also Having Experience And Expertise. To Many Other Open Source Products As Needed.
Your Primary Responsibility Will Be To Develop Technical Solutions To Enhance The American Express Cloud Platform With A Focus On Building Automation For More Flexible Cloud Service Delivery. Collaborate With The Rest Of The API Engineering Team, UI Engineering Team, Quality Engineering Team, And Product Management To Build High-Performance, Scalable API And Orchestration Solutions.
- Research And Use New Technologies And Libraries That Enable Lean Product Development. Implement API / Middleware Solutions That Integrate NSQL, Platforms, Partner Systems
- Implement Software Best Practices That Produce Sustainable Code, Including Usability Standards, Code Style Compliance, Integration, Unit Testing, And Code Review.
- Take Pride In Developing Functional Software With A Willingness To Learn New Technologies
Minimum Qualifications
- Experience With Cloud Providers (AWS, GCP, Private Cloud)
- Experience Developing REST Apis Using Google Golang And/Or Java. Experience With Cloud Engineering, CI/CD, Kubernetes, Openshift, Docker, Etc.
- A Wonderful Partner. Good Communication Skills.
- Experience With NSQL Databases
- You Know Agile Application Development Methods. Understand QE Processes In General.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree In Computer Science Or Equivalent
